Pre-Therapeutic Psychology, minor

Pre-Therapeutic Psychology, minor

Program Overview

Do you dream of a career in which you have the chance to serve and care for others on a daily basis? Are you interested in learning more about the human psyche and how such knowledge will apply to your work in the field?

If so, a minor in pre-therapeutic psychology could be a perfect fit for you. ¹ú²ú¾çÂ鶹¾ç’s pre-therapeutic psychology minor is offered to non-psychology majors who desire an introductory understanding of therapeutic psychology. This minor is especially suited for students who plan to enter careers in helping professions, such as ministry, nursing, medicine, or social work.

Courses in abnormal psychology, human development, group dynamics, and more will give you the foundation you need to enhance your understanding of individuals and refine your relational skills, all while helping you cultivate your full potential as a caregiver in your career and community.

Lifelong Learning
Quote
My time at ¹ú²ú¾çÂ鶹¾ç was life-changing. I learned to think bigger and see the world as a bigger place. I became a critical thinker without sacrificing compassion. I became interested in travel and lifelong learning. I left with a clear understanding on how to gather information and draw conclusions. Most importantly, I left passionate about my field of study and went on to graduate work shortly after. I have worked in many different areas in my field of study and have enjoyed them all. I am grateful to have always had work that I enjoy. This I owe to my ¹ú²ú¾çÂ鶹¾ç education.
