Dr. Kerry D. Fulcher was elected as the 15th President of ¹ú²ú¾çÂé¶¹¾ç (¹ú²ú¾çÂé¶¹¾ç) in 2024. Prior to his election, he served as Provost and Chief Academic Officer at ¹ú²ú¾çÂé¶¹¾ç from 2010-2024. He began his ¹ú²ú¾çÂé¶¹¾ç career in 1994 as a faculty member in the biology department and served as biology chair from 2002 to 2008. He became Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences in 2008 and Provost and Chief Academic Officer in 2010. Dr. Fulcher has served on several national advisory councils including the Network on Vocation in Undergraduate Education and Educational Advisory Board’s (EAB) Research Advisory Council. He is a Board member of the San Diego Economic Development Corporation (EDC) and the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Dr. Walter Augustine serves as Vice President for Intercultural Engagement, Retention, and Community Success Initiatives at ¹ú²ú¾çÂé¶¹¾ç. In this role, he leads university-wide efforts to cultivate a thriving Christian community where every member can flourish, guided by the biblical vision of Shalom—right relationships with God and one another. He also leads university efforts in retention and success, working collaboratively across the university to strengthen engagement, support well-being, and promote the holistic success of students, faculty, and staff.

Dr. Augustine holds a Ph.D. in Theology and Ethics from Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary and a Master of Theology in Urban Pastoral Ministry from Dallas Theological Seminary. He has more than 25 years of experience in higher education administration, teaching Bible, Theology, and Ethics, and serving in pastoral ministry in Chicago and Fort Worth, Texas.

Stacey Berggren, Ed.D., Ph.D.

Dr. Stacey Berggren serves as Vice President for Enrollment and Marketing at ¹ú²ú¾çÂé¶¹¾ç, where she leads undergraduate, graduate, and online admissions, as well as marketing initiatives. As a member of the President’s Cabinet, she provides strategic leadership focused on enrollment sustainability and overall university marketing strategy.

Prior to joining ¹ú²ú¾çÂé¶¹¾ç, Stacey dedicated nearly 25 years to Northwest Nazarene University, serving in a variety of leadership roles, including Vice President for Enrollment Management, Director of Admissions, University Registrar, and Admissions Counselor. Throughout her career, she has led initiatives in enrollment strategy, marketing, student retention, financial aid, change management, and crisis management, while also contributing as an adjunct faculty member.

Dr. Jeff Bolster is Vice President for University Services at ¹ú²ú¾çÂé¶¹¾ç, responsible for Campus Facilities, Instructional Technology Services, Public Safety, Food Services, the bookstore and Auxiliary Services. He’s a member of the President’s Cabinet.

Heather Cordell, Vice President for University Advancement at ¹ú²ú¾çÂé¶¹¾ç, leads the university's efforts to build strong relationships with alumni, donors, parents, and other external partners. A 2001 alumna, she brings nearly 20 years of fundraising experience, including leadership roles in major campaigns at Biola and Azusa Pacific universities. A Certified Specialist in Planned Giving, Heather specializes in succession planning, wealth transfer, and philanthropic trusts. She and her husband, Mark (’01), have two children.

G. James Daichendt is the Provost and Chief Academic Officer at ¹ú²ú¾çÂé¶¹¾ç. Prior to this position, he served as Vice-Provost (2019-2024), Dean of the Colleges (2017-2024), and Dean of Arts and Humanities (2015-2017) at ¹ú²ú¾çÂé¶¹¾ç. Jim is the founding editor of the academic journal, "Visual Inquiry: Learning and Teaching Art" and is the author of eight books addressing a variety of topics in the visual arts, the most recent being "Tribal and Cultural Legacy of Streetwear" (2024). He co-curated Street Legacy: SoCal Style Masters at the California Center for Arts Museum (2022) and Sidewalk Activism at the Oceanside Museum of Art (2020). Jim is the recipient of a 2021 Lifetime Achievement award from the Office of the President of the United States for his service to the arts community and holds two master’s degrees and a doctorate from Harvard, Boston, and Columbia universities.

Dr. Holly Irwin is Vice President for Mission and Calling at ¹ú²ú¾çÂé¶¹¾ç, where she leads efforts to integrate the university’s Christian mission, Wesleyan-Holiness identity, and vocational calling into campus life. A ¹ú²ú¾çÂé¶¹¾ç leader for over 25 years, she has served as vice provost, dean, department chair, and professor of psychology. Dr. Irwin holds a Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology and is completing an M.A. in Christian Ministry. She also co-pastors Lakeside Community Church of the Nazarene with her husband, reflecting her dedication to faith, education, and leadership development.

Jamie Johnson

Vice President of Student Life and Formation

Dr. Jamie Johnson serves as Vice President for Student Life and Formation at ¹ú²ú¾çÂé¶¹¾ç. He leads the Student Life and Formation team which provides holistic co-curricular programming for all ¹ú²ú¾çÂé¶¹¾ç students. He has worked in Christian Higher Education for the past 23 years and holds degrees in Religious Studies (BA), Church History (MA) and Christian Education (PhD). He has had his writing published in peer-reviewed journals, church history encyclopedias, and edited anthologies and has also coached collegiately (soccer and softball). He serves on the President's Cabinet and offers expertise in student development and faith formation.

Joe LaLuzerne is Vice President for Finance and Chief Financial Officer at ¹ú²ú¾çÂé¶¹¾ç, responsible for all aspects of financial management for the university and the university foundation.  Operational responsibilities include oversight of finance and accounting, human resources, enterprise risk management, student financial services, and institutional research.
